Both with dermal filler (Juvederm Voluma and Volbella, and Juvederm Ultra 2, 3 and 4) alone in multiple points, or by combining with laser treatment - provides amazing rejuvenation.
TPO threads can give a multi vector restoration of ageing skin.
The issue with threads is that they only target a particular component of the ageing face - the skin. They fail to address the underlying major component that is volume loss.
The ageing face is a little bit like a table cloth on a table, with many thinking that the ageing skin is a result of tissue sagging - essentially the table cloth getting longer. The reality is that the table is also getting slightly shorter - and this is addressed by volume replacement.
Unfortunately many 'aesthetic practitioners' fail to address this as they simply do not know.
A more natural look is attainted by combining threads with replacing the volume with dermal filler or microfat transfer. The fat can be taken from under the chin (submental) or from the thigh.
If then required, skin tightening can be performed with either laser, some SMAS and skin tightening using a similar process to threads but more finesse and precision. Ultimately as with everything in life - you get what you pay for.
So fillers will not fix everything for everyone, but will usually help to reduce the appearance of some wrinkles.
The CLAM lift technique can be combined with a small amount of facial surgery where appropriate, and this can target some of the areas that a traditional facelift would target. However the amount of skin and SMAS removal is much less due to the volume correction of microfat transfer.
CLAMS + is the half way house between a liquid laser lift and traditional surgical facelift.
Preservation facial rejuvenation, synonymous with preservation rhinoplasty, is the future of natural ageing whilst reducing the downtime and risks associated with traditional approaches, and gives far more finesse and precision than threads.

Understanding the Duration and Effects of Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers offer a non-permanent solution to smooth lines, reduce wrinkles, and add volume to areas such as lips, cheeks and temples. The duration of the results varies depending on factors like the type of filler and injection site. Typically, patients enjoy the benefits of dermal fillers for 4 - 6 months, allowing you to maintain a youthful appearance.
An 8 point liquid facelift is the utilisation of dermal fillers (typically Juvederm Voluma and volift) in various points to rejuvenate through volume restoration. The volume loss is a usual part of the ageing process, impacting bone, muscle and fat. By restoring the volume a more natural youthful appearance is generated. Some patients choose to have the 8 point facelift over 2 or 3 sessions, typically starting with the cheeks.
Chin fillers for a more defined jaw line, combined with discrete placement along the jaw line can enhance the jaw line to create masculinity, soften certain areas to create a more feminine appearance, and add volume to reduce the appearance of jowls.
Lip fillers can be used to smooth out the lines that occur

8 point and CLAM lift - minimally invasive liquid laser facelifts
By tightening the skin and restoring smooth lines by combining with microfat transfer (most often taken from the thigh) the volume correction and stem cell enhanced healing I combine synergistically gives the advantages of dermal fillers and so called vampire facelifts.
The major advantage of microfat transfer is that it lasts MUCH longer than dermal fillers - and avoids most of the risks associated with traditional, short scar and even minimal access facelifts and thread lifts.
A surgical facelift affords more control, more reduction of wrinkles and jowls but with higher costs (£8500 - £14000) and higher risks. The less invasive option of fillers gives less reduction of jowls and wrinkles but with less cost and less risk.
Some people will get only a very minimal improvement with fillers and this is important to know.
The aim is a more subtle rejuvenation or change with fillers, a more drastic with fat transfer and laser and the most dramatic with a surgical facelift. It is not usually possible to know exactly how much filler a face will take or need - and so I ask patients at stages throughout the procedure if they are happy as that stage or would like more filler. I really try to avoid an overfilled look.
After the treatment it will take 4 - 6 weeks for filler to integrate, over which time the wrinkles will generally smooth out more. I believe that it is better to under treat and offer a top up after a few months where required or wanted, rather than to risk overfilling.
Some approximate expectations:
- A few years 'younger' with fillers to nasolabial folds, marionette's or anti-wrinkle treatment
- 5 to 10 years with the 8 point liquid lift
- Around 10 - 15 years with surgical face lift
- Sometimes over 10 years younger appearance with the CLAMS +
Limitations are where there is a Glogau wrinkle ageing scale type 4: ‘only wrinkles’ where we aim to take towards a type 3: ‘wrinkles at rest’
Comfortable and Efficient Dermal Filler Procedures
We prioritise your comfort during the dermal filler procedure. We may apply an anesthetic cream to numb the treatment area before administering the injections. Our skilled practitioners will carefully inject the fillers into the targeted regions, followed by a gentle massage to ensure optimal distribution and results. The procedure typically takes between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the treated area.
Post-Treatment Care: Minimising Swelling and Ensuring Speedy RecoveryAfter your dermal filler treatment at The Facial Surgery, it's normal to experience mild redness, soreness, and swelling. You must avoid sunbathing, sunbeds, alcohol and exercise for 48 hours after your procedure.
