Earlobe repair is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia.
During the surgery, incisions are carefully made along either side of the tear or the dilatation, utilising z-plasty and triangle shapes to re-orientate the scar and tissue. Excess skin is repositioned, and the incisions are meticulously closed to promote optimal healing.
