3. Scarring: Every surgical procedure involves some degree of scarring. While scars typically fade over time, individual healing and scar formation can vary, including keloid scarring. This is very thick scarring extending beyond the original surgical scar or ear piercing. Sometimes steroid injections can help, other times surgical removal of the keloid scar, compression and steroid injections are required to help reduce the amount of thickening present.
4. Asymmetry or Unsatisfactory Results: While  experienced surgeons strive for symmetry and satisfactory outcomes, it is possible to experience slight asymmetry or unsatisfactory results. They will discuss realistic expectations with you and work closely to achieve the best possible outcome.
